What does “do good” look like at Wish Upon a Dress?
Wish Upon a Dress was created to support its non-profit sister organization, Wish Upon a Wedding, a 501 (C)(3) organization that grants weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illnesses or life altering health circumstances.
We take donated gowns from designers and longstanding partners, like Anthropologie Weddings and pass them on to wish recipients and first responders through consignment efforts and private appointments at our beautiful shop in Chicago’s West Loop.
The result? A space that cultivates generosity throughout the wedding community, while celebrating the tireless work of the women around us and the ways in which they're helping to make the world a better place for us all.

Creating a hospitable environment. In our online and in-person store, we want you to feel welcome and excited to shop for your dresses, accessories, and try them on - without feeling shy or timid.
Being mindful of inclusion and diversity. We offer a wide range of dresses for different styles, body types, and people. We are mindful of cultural differences, stories, and experiences that make dress shopping so special.
Acting with an open and inviting attitude. We strive to be open and inviting, listening to your needs and the types of dress you are looking for.
Sharing knowledge and information. Designer dresses have varying sizes, shapes, and styles. We share our industry tips, advice, and knowledge so you can make the best decision for the event.
Keeping community and collaboration at the forefront. Wish Upon a Dress’ main goal is to raise money for Wish Upon a Wedding to fund more Wishes for couples. We know that without our community, collaborators, and partners this wouldn’t be possible.

You can donate a monetary amount towards Wish Upon a Wedding using the donate box and will receive a receipt upon your donation that can be used towards your taxes. Wish Upon a Wedding is a registered 501(c)3.
